Primary School “Miloš Dujić”, Čelinac

The Primary School “Miloš Dujić”, in the Municipality of Čelinac, was founded on 03 October 1955. This School includes two nine-grade schools, the Central School and Popovac School, and five five-grade schools in Opsječko, Štrbe, Miloševo, Šahinovići and Skatavica. The School is attended by 771 pupils grouped in 41 classes. The School staff counts 92 members, of which 68 are teaching staff and 24 are securing the working conditions (janitors, handymen, management and pedagogy services). During the May 2014 floods this Municipality suffered great damages and the School was left without working tools, their auxiliary facilities were destroyed, the gyms and playgrounds, too. As EKI is an organization that cares for the community in which it operates, and especially for the children, we recognized the need to act as socially responsible organization and to take part in resolving the problems in this School, i.e. to get involved I rehabilitation of infrastructure and equipment. EKI is a socially responsible institution and in our joint project with WVI Banjaluka we donated the School with a square jungle gym with two swings for the schoolyard, where students in lower grades have physical education classes and education. As physical activity is very important for the development of each individual, we believe that our donation will contribute to easier and more pleasant stay of students in physical training classes.
