    Home / Frequently Asked Questions

The more complex a product or a service the more questions the clients have. Why do we ask questions? Because we do not want to make a wrong choice. The fear of making a wrong choice is far less when buying a calculator than when buying a refrigerator, TV set or a car. The reason is that the damage or a cost of buying the new item is far less.

We hope we shall answer all of the questions frequently asked by clients and help you get a clear picture of EKI’s service and product you wish to use.

Can I apply more than once and for multiple jobs?

Yes, absolutely. EKI will take each job application into consideration as well as your previous results if you had already gone through the selection procedure.

    What happens with my documents?

EKI normally does not return the submitted documents to job applicants. Therefore, for EKI vacancies the interested candidates are invited to submit copies of their documents that do not need to be certified/verified. All documents are kept in our archive for two years and over that period the qualified candidates can be contacted should a need arise. After two years all documents are destroyed in the presence of a Commission. EKI has the obligation to keep all of the data and information about the candidates and to use them only in line with the Law on Protection of Personal Data of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Who can be an EKI client?

All BiH citizens at the age of majority and up to 75 years of age may be EKI clients. Loans can be granted to employed and unemployed persons, without a conditional regular income. Good credit history and income for covering the loan-related expenses are an important precondition.

What does the selection procedure look like?

EKI has a two-step selection procedure. The first step involves psychometric testing, knowledge tests and an interview. Based on the first step results the applicants are invited for the second round of interviews with a Recruiting Commission. All of the applicants that qualify for the second round of selection will receive a written notification from EKI of the outcome of the selection procedure.

What is an interest rate for EKI loans?

Depending on a loan, the interest rate ranges from 15,90% to 22,50%. The loan processing fee ranges from 1,00% to 2,50% of the requested loan size and is deducted from the loan at the payout. The total size of interest rate in BAM depends on the loan size and payment term.

What happens once I file in my job application?

After closing of the vacancy the Human Resources Department will review all of the applications and will shortly contact the applicants who meet the criteria for the respective job.

What types of guarantees are required for EKI loans?

Guarantees for payment of the requested loan depend on your credit ability, credit history, the size of the requested loan, and the current credit activity of you and your household members. EKI also approves loans without guarantors.

Where can I see the vacancy notice?

The basic and main documents necessary for the realization of loan are: a copy of ID Card, original or verified copy of the CIPS certificate of residence, a copy of bank account card, one entity promissory note, and a signed loan application form.

Why is it necessary for the EKI Loan Officer to pay a visit to the client?

We pay a visit to the client so as to adjust the loan conditions to your needs and capacities. The visit of the EKI Loan Officer to the business you are running or are involved in has the purpose of determining the capacity of the business from which you generate income and to identify the purpose of loan investment.

Does a client have to pay the remaining interest rate in case of premature payment of the loan?

The client has an opportunity to pay the loan prematurely. If at the time of closing the existing loan the client takes a new loan in EKI, the client will not pay the cost of loan closure. When closing the loan without taking a new one, the client will pay the cost of loan closure. In both cases the client will not pay the interest rate that is not due.

Which way and where will the client pay the loan installment?

You can pay the monthly installments for EKI Loans in BH Pošte, Pošte Srpske or in a bank by filling in an EKI payment order, standard payment order or a money transfer order. You may not make payments of monthly installments in EKI offices as EKi does not have payment operations of its own. You can get filled in payment orders for loan payments in EKI offices.

Is it possible to close the old loan with a new one prior to expiry of the payment plan?

The loan can be paid prior to expiry of the defined payment period. It is necessary to submit a request stating the reasons for premature loan payment. If a minimum of 50% of the loan has been regularly paid according to the payment plan, the loan can be replaced with a new one.
