Donation to the public institution “First Primary School (PŠ Brezik)”, Brčko
The fact is that with the progress and growth of technology, books are less and less represented in the lives of young people, but that facts are sometimes not so decisive as today’s story about the EKI donation tells us.
As part of its Socially Responsible Actions, EKI donated the schools with what they most needed, and so far this has mostly been sports equipment. The employees of the First Primary School in Brčko, i.e. the district school in Brezik, turned to EKI for help and expressed a different need for books for the school library.
Considering that books are a great treasure and the greatest source of inspiration, EKI was happy to meet their need and donate funds for the purchase of the necessary books. During the handover, the representatives of the school expressed great gratitude and satisfaction with this gesture, because in this way their students will have the opportunity to read various works.
In his time, our Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić said that remaining indifferent to a book means frivolously impoverishing your life. We hope that the donation will benefit many students of this school and that it will help them enrich their lives by enjoying their works.
