Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities „Bring Back My Smile“
The Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities „Bring Back My Smile“ has 125 members, of which 35 are under age. A few years ago, the Center was relocated to the building of the former military barracks Ljubače, which is a prefabricated type of facility that does not meet the basic needs for Center's work. Also, as they are near the forest, they have major problems with rodents. The Qatar Government offered to build a new building for the Center in Šarenjak, Municipality of Živinice. The realization of this project requires a building and urban permit.
Due to lack of their own funds, the Center launched a humanitarian campaign called “Children's Bank” with the aim of fundraising for the preparation of the Main Project Design for the work, rehabilitation and education in the Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities, as this is a prerequisite for obtaining building permit, while the urban permit was provided by the Municipality, as their own donation to the Center.
Along with the other friends of the Center, EKI donated certain funds, which enabled one of the preconditions for building an adequate facility for work, rehabilitation and education of beneficiaries. By implementing the project, the beneficiaries of the Center would get adequate space for work and education, and the families would be greatly relieved due to the fact that their loved ones would be in facilities with considerably better conditions, which should also bring about better results of their treatment and development.
