Cantonal Public Institution „Home for children without parental care“, Sarajevo
Cantonal Public Institution „Home for children without parental care“, Sarajevo was founded in 1900. Until the Second World War, the Home operated through several locations in the city, and after the war, it remained only at the location in Bjelave where it currently provides services to children without parental care. The services that this Home provides to children relate primarily to an overall care, upbringing, education, health care of children without parental care and children whose development is hindered by family circumstances, as well as the admission and care of pregnant women and young mothers with first-born babies of up to six months of age. Their beneficiaries are children up to the age of 18 years, and at the proposal of the Social Welfare Center, the Home also accepts children who need assistance in completion of their education. This Cantonal Public Institution contacted MCF EKI Sarajevo with a request for donation of funds for the purchase of bedding sheets and washing machines that are needed at the preschool children's department. EKI has, as before, responded to their request and provided donation once again showing that it is a socially responsible organization that takes care of the needs of the youngest members of our society.
