The war that changed destinies of so many people had no mercy for Hamzalija and his family. It forced him out of Teslic to poverty, misery and homelessness. It was a coincidence that he arrived to Zenica where he had no acquaintances, no relatives who could offer support, but he was happy to stay alive unlike some others. Shortly after arriving, to make the tragedy even bigger, Hamzalija suffered a severe traffic accident and remained an invalid, from waist down. Laying helpless every day, looking at his wife and daughter trying to survive from day to day, but still having patience to take care of a sick husband and father, his only whish was to get better and take the burden.

On his own, Hamzalija started to look for a cure reading books on alternative medicine. Going through the books that have been giving great importance to honey and its products, Hamzalija came to an idea to buy bees and to start up his own business, thus to combine pleasure with benefit, to help his family and himself financially.

He addressed many banks for assistance, but for persons as he was, displaced and an invalid there was no understanding. After many attempts he decided to seek assistance from Ministry for agriculture that referred him to EKI. Used to cold relationship of clerks to clients, he was surprised by warm welcoming and wholehearted discussion with EKI officials. Hamzalija received a loan in the amount of 5000 KM to buy the bees and to make his wish come true. The business really progressed well and economic situation has become entirely satisfactory. Hamzalija was so pleased as he managed to help his family and himself as well. Using honey and other products he was preparing on his own based on the books he read on alternative medicine, Hamzalija started to walk again. Indeed a miracle, but he helped himself. Today, Hamzalija is using his 11^th cycle of his loan with EKI, has no time to count his bees and bee hives. There are many people who could testify about his cure with honey and medicine he prepares with honey and herbs.
